Blue Mountains Nature Journal
Today i walked along the rock face down towards the valley. I was feeling like an adventure where the colours get darker and the waterfalls roar.
Empress Falls deep green pool. How I long for a refreshing summer plunge, yet relish in the solitude of winters peace.
Where the lichen grows in patterns so fascinating
And i sit and journal and picnic whilst knowing this is self care at its finest.
On the walk back up to the top I walk as hard as I can. I want to release some endorphins and work my muscles. Tourists try and say hello as they wander down. I cant even make eye contact let alone give a cheery greeting!
Back home for a latte, freshly baked blueberry muffin (organic spelt flour, refined sugar free), and a long sit on our sunny deck.
“the truth of a life really has little to do with its quality. The quality of life is in proportion, always, to the capacity for delight. The capacity for delight is the gift of paying attention.” ― Julia Cameron, The Artist's Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity
