  • Learn to use techniques to give visual impact to your sketches without fear

Learn how to connect eyes, mind and hand especially to compose the sketch in order to capture the essence of the scene, while playing with full and empty spaces, values, contrasts, relationships between lines and colors.

When and how to choose which details in the building that improve your concept

Learn to accept your mistakes they are part of your style

What particularly fascinates me is the ability to capture intricate details in sketches using a loose and rapid approach. This method allows for the depiction of sunlight and shadows in a simplified yet effective manner, resulting in accomplished works in a short span of time. I believe this aspect is crucial in urban sketching, as it enables artists to capture the essence of a scene swiftly and authentically.

When I first start urban sketching I began with locations and building I have memories with then expanding my sketching as a way of journaling my life then I started to look at the city itself as place full of memories specially my home town which is a very cosmopolitan city with a lot of people from deferent backgrounds and ideologies ( Egyptians , Greeks, Armenians….. so and so ) this diversity made me notice how different people interact with their surrounding and make the architectural landscape so unique And that’s the reason I also tend to paint or sketch buildings as living objects we live in them and they live in us
